Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to your questions about veterinary ultrasound and our services.

Veterinary ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging technique that uses high-frequency ultrasound waves to obtain real-time images of your pet's internal organs and tissues. It is a completely safe, painless, and non-invasive exploration that does not use ionizing radiation.
Your veterinarian may recommend an ultrasound in various situations: if your pet has persistent vomiting or diarrhea, unexplained weight loss, increased abdominal volume, breathing difficulty, chronic cough, or the presence of palpable masses.
Yes, at VETECO we work exclusively by appointment to guarantee personalized and quality care for each patient. You can request your appointment by contacting us via WhatsApp or email.
For abdominal ultrasound, we do recommend fasting from solids for at least 6-8 hours before the examination in adult dogs, and 4-6 hours in adult cats. This significantly improves image quality.
